Shannon Myers, 4th Year Medical Student

Shannon Myers is a 4th year medical student in the class of 2022 at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She was born in Clarion, PA and completed her undergraduate education at Clarion University of Pennsylvania where she studied Biology. At Clarion, Shannon completed research into the genetic control systems involving cellular protein clearance, mentored junior classmates, and was awarded Outstanding Biology Student at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania University Biologists conference. At LECOM, Shannon participated in the Bridging the Gaps program where she assisted veterans with housing security, resume writing, and helped lead counseling sessions for veterans struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. She completed other community service projects and taught anatomy to undergraduate and high school students. Shannon plans to continue her commitment to whole person wellness and community building as a family physician.
