Clinical Shadowing

Cecelia Weingart is an MD1 student at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, where she was selected as an Abigail Geisinger Scholar. Passionate about primary care and women’s health, her goal as a future physician is to promote primary care initiatives and improve community health through prevention, early identification, and treatment of illness and disease. Weingart’s hometown is New Castle, PA and she graduated in 2019 from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA with degrees in Chemistry and English. She worked at a crisis shelter supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse for a year before beginning medical school in 2020. Weingart loves travelling, reading, poetry, playing tennis and racquetball, hiking, horseback riding, and journaling in her free time. Her pet cat, Nora, frequently makes guest appearances during virtual learning sessions!
