Syed Hassan, MD

Picture your favorite teacher: they know their stuff and can teach it well, obviously. But they also care about you outside of the classroom. That’s Dr. Hassan in a nutshell. A second-year resident at NYU Winthrop, Dr. Hassan dabbled in business before going into medicine. He double-majored in Physics and Entrepreneurship at Baruch college, even working as an analyst for a summer after college. He soon turned his business interests into more humane causes, helping to start a non-profit dedicated to micro-lending and serving as a mentor for college graduates to help them find a fulfilling career. Dr. Hassan graduated from SUNY upstate in 2018, where he served as a Student Ambassador and Class Treasurer. He is now going through the rigorous process of becoming an Emergency Medicine Physician. His class will focus on a slate of cases to give a well-rounded view of Emergency Medicine. He will teach the basics of this field, and he will also get to know you and help you however he can on your journey to becoming a healthcare professional.
