Clinical Shadowing

Robert Guber is a current fourth year student at University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is originally from Jericho, NY, and graduated from college in Ithaca, NY from Cornell University. He majored in Biology and Society with distinction in research, and concentrations in biochemistry and neuroscience, and he has a minor in nutrition and sociology. After graduation he spent two years at the National Institutes of Health in the Neurogenetics lab where he has presented his research at national conferences and published numerous manuscripts. He then went to UMass Medical school where is applying into general surgery. His interests include, research, teaching, and mentorship. He enjoys cooking (and even taught an elective about cooking for the everyday eater in medical school), playing sports (soccer is his favorite), and playing board games during the Pandemic. More recently he had the opportunity to work in a COVID field hospital treating patients.
